Dans le cadre d'un poste à pourvoir chez l'un de nos clients, compagnie internationale de réassurance nous recherchons un life reserving actuary H/F.

The Group Actuarial Department includes three units: Life reserving, Non-Life reserving and Model Analysis. The Group Life Reserving team’s main mission is to form a quarterly opinion on the IFRS reserves adequacy of the group

As a member of the Group Life Reserving team, you will participate to the quarterly and ad-hoc reviews of the reserves as well as the redaction of their memos. International travels might be needed.

- Key duties and responsibilities

Under the responsibility of the Head of Group Life Reserving:

• You participate to the quarterly analyses and reserve monitoring for the regions and products you are in charge off to support the position on the reserves adequacy
• You are responsible and independent on you actuarial position on the adequacy of the reserves for your scope. You defend your position and present your arguments on these reserves
• You are responsible for the redaction of the memos in english for your scope as well as the recommendations you issue for the local entities
• You are responsible to reconcile the data and information obtained from the different sources
• You ensure the consistency and the use of adequate actuarial methods for the reserves under your scope
• You participate to the improvement and development of the analyses, methods and process needed to assess and monitor the adequacy of the reserves
• You are the privileged interlocutor  for your regions and products
• You could participate to transverse projects involving other departments

 

- Required experience & competencies

Experience:

• You have a minimum of 3 years of experience in Life reserving and valuation in insurance or reinsurance, ideally some international and risk analysis experience
• Participation in machine learning projects is an asset

• Capacity to present arguments to defend a position
• Like to delve deeper into topics

Soft skills:

• Enjoy teamwork and have good interpersonal skills

Digital competencies:

• Word, Excel, BO
• Prophet
• Python, machine learning libraries as an asset

 

- Required Education 

• You hold a university or engineer degree with a specialization in Actuarial Science
