Dans le cadre d'un poste à pourvoir chez l'un de nos clients, compagnie internationale de réassurance nous recherchons un power underwriter H/F.
Under the authority of the Paris Property Manager:
Select, analyse, and assess property/power submissions, underwrite with a technical approach, negotiate terms and conditions
Develop and maintain a profitable portfolio in accordance with the Specialty Insurance underwriting guidelines
Build and maintain brokers relationship to ensure a regular flow of submissions, participate in industry events (seminars, forums, conferences)
Develop technical knowledge and expertise in selected industries
Market SI capabilities and products to Corporate Risk Managers, Brokers and Ceding companies in EMEA countries and London market
Produce and share informed business intelligence documentation based upon research and analysis of the portfolio results and market data
Report regularly on accounts and marketing activity
Manage and Support accuracy and timeliness of data entry in the tools required.
Regularly visit our clients and attend risk surveys (approx. 15-30 days of business travel per year, domestic and international)
Work in close cooperation and coordination with your colleagues in the SI network, participate in business intelligence and knowledge sharing
Responsibly manage data recorded in our information systems to give an accurate representation of the risks subscribed and to allow portfolio analysis.
Collaborate with our technical assistants team to ensure data quality and performance of contracts administration, regularly collaborate and exchange with the claims team and other internal stakeholders
Adhere to compliance and legal frame of Specialty Insurance
Profil
- Engineering degree
You are a property and/or power underwriter, or a risk engineer (preferably experienced in machinery breakdown, power generation industry – all types of generation including renewable energy) ideally with an experience in international/multinational insurer/reinsurer, with minimum 3 years of experience with exposure to all types of international and/or regional property risks
Key Competencies sought include :
Sound technical knowledge of topics associated to Property, focusing on Heavy Industry and Power underwriting as well as a wider understanding of related legal, social, and economic dynamics
Communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
Active engagement and contribution to the global property team is essential, with a strong team spirit
An enquiring mindset with the ability to work independently as a motivated and pro-active self-starter. Curious and willing to learn.
Proficiency in the use of underwriting tools, ability to understand and assess the results
Self-disciplined, principled and solutions oriented
Organised and able to prioritise under pressure
Ability to evaluate, condense and summarise key information
Confidence to develop and maintain a network of brokers and clients
Fluency in French and English and able to travel regularly worldwide.
