Dans le cadre d'uvien poste à pourvoir chez l'un de nos clients, compagnie internationale de réassurance nous recherchons un Senior Risk Manager sur la partie H/F.

 

Missions du poste : Manage Life Underwriting / Business Acceptance risks across Western Europe, Latin America, UK and South Africa (WELA, UK & SA)

 

As a senior risk manager your role is:

 

- Become a key member of the Life Underwriting Risk Management and the wider Business Acceptance community

- Establish a strong relationship with the macro-market teams (WELA, UK & SA) to stay current with the markets and risks developments. Act as internal risk consultant or business partner by proactively engaging with markets as needed. Continuously support markets in developing a strong risk culture and foster local risk ownership.

- Assess and monitor risks for business outside of existing guidelines / strategic plan / risk appetite and sizeable deals beyond local authorities. This would include strategic initiatives, new or emerging risks at product or reinsurance treaty design stage. The assessment requires a comprehensive analysis of risks, including non-biometric risks such as risk credit and financial risks. Support markets in developing risk mitigants, thereby balancing risk management and commercial aspects.

- Prepare, execute or support market risks reviews (cross-review)

- Ensure authorities are adequately and regularly updated

- Ensure the business underwriting process remains robust, fit-for-purpose and efficient by

o contributing to regular reviews of the processes/ identifying new guidelines / frameworks needs,

o developing/maintaining specific business acceptance frameworks / guidelines / best practices

o proactively recommending improvements and efficiencies in all processes

- Contribute to the activity of the wider Life Business Acceptance team on global projects / matters. This could notably include support on Financial Solutions global Lines of business.

- Contribute to the development and maintenance of the specific tools utilized in the life underwriting risk community (e.g. xWiki, Crossfinder, I.AM) 

 

Profil

- Minimum 10-15 years of relevant insurance industry experience, with good insights on Life products and ideally reinsurance mechanisms / University degree in mathematics, actuarial science or other discipline with a strong mathematical component

- Experience in operating in a multinational matrix environment.

- Effective in communicating complex and detailed risk topics to a varied audience with differing levels of understanding of risk management.

- Strong interpersonal skills to naturally connect with key stakeholders and build strong relationships.

- Curious and motivated to train and develop the organization’s understanding of risk management.

- Comfortable with difficult decision making under pressure.

- Excellent organization skills with a strong results orientation.

- Flexible approach in a changing organization and environment
