Dans le cadre d'un poste à pourvoir chez l'un de nos clients, compagnie internationale de réassurance nous recherchons un senior claims adjuster H/F.
As a member of the claims team, the role holder will work closely as an expert with other members of Specialty Insurance to manage and provide guidance on claims and claims processes with particular emphasis on complex claims on existing and future European policies within the Specialty portfolio.
The focus is primarily on claims under Casualty policies - general third-party liability (including excess auto), products liability, Environmental impairment liability policies, professional liability (construction, lawyers, cyber) and first party Construction – construction all risks and project policies.
Major claims experience in one class can be developed into a wider specialist focus within a broader framework of complex claims management.
The reporting line will jointly be to the Global Practice Leader for Casualty claims and to the Global Practice Leader for Construction Claims to whom they will provide support as needed.
As a technical claims expert, you will contribute towards the group taking an enhanced lead position on claims. Working with internal colleagues you will ensure that Specialty claims handling is of a high standard.
Business French and English are requirements so to be able to communicate with target clients and internal underwriting and claims support colleagues. Further European languages (German in particular) will beneficial to support the wider development of group’s European interests
The job role holder will also work with underwriters in a collaborative way to provide input on the claims under management and lessons that can be learned from the particular claims they manage on a day to day basis.
There will be a need to document and present summaries of claims to management at a high standard.
- Main duties and responsibilities

Delivering expert claims adjusting to the group Specialty in Casualty, Construction and other Lines of Business as needed

Adhering to the group Best Practices and Claims Handling procedures & protocols
-
Compliance with internal controls and procedures (conduct and governance)

Managing claims: assess and evaluate policy liability and calculate reserve exposures

Proactive management of claims to ensure the timely progress of claims to conclusion

Assess settlement values of claims and make recommendations

Working with and independently of underwriting to develop and maintain client relationships and be responsible for key accounts and aggregate protection programmes

Represent the group and the claims department internally and externally including review meetings with brokers and/or policy holders on an as needed basis

Where required deputise for the casualty practice leader

Take an active role in working with group underwriters to provide claims feedback to assist on developing the Casualty and construction books of business

Potential for involvement in any relevant market events / initiatives on behalf of the group

Participate in active reviews of service providers to determine a preferred supplier approach for the Casualty lines of business

Work with TA/CA colleagues to produce an effective ‘end to end’ process across the whole casualty claims portfolio

Provide claims support as needed to address specific claims handled by others on an as needed basis

Work within the group ethical and service standards as well as fulfilling compliance and regulatory requirements.
- Required experience & competencies
Experience
-
10 years+ experience in a senior Liability market claims handling role or as a lawyer

Broader specialist technical capability together with applied practical and commercial business skills sufficient to allow for effective management of claims in other classes

Ability to establish relationships with clients, brokers, underwriting and market communities

Expertise and knowledge of claims handling in multi-national risks market

The ability to develop an understanding and detailed knowledge of specialist product line
